Frank Ocean’s father is suing Russell Simmons for $142 million, according to TMZ. 

Frank Ocean’s father, Calvin Cooksey, is seeking money for loss of future income from Simmons because of comments one of the businessman’s websites made.

The lawsuit alleges that Simmons’ Global Grind site said that Cooksey, who describes himself as a singer, writer and inventor, was a horrible parent.

“He wasn’t allowed to be a father to Frank because his ‘Money Grubbing mother’ moved, and hid the boy from him,” Cooksey’s lawsuit says, according to TMZ.

At press time, Simmons has yet to respond regarding the lawsuit.
