After speculation that Lil’ Wayne was going to leave Cash Money, it is official, he has resigned as of this Monday,February 7th, 2005. Many rumors spread about labels trying to signing Wayne but those are now put to rest.

Wayne is currently working with his group Young Money which includes artists Boo from Boo & Gotti. Currently, formerly of the 504 Boys and

Maine, a battle rapper from New Orleans who finished 16th out of 1,000 rappers on MTV’s Freestyle Battle last year.

The group is signed to Wayne’s own, new label Young Money Entertainment which is through Cash Money/Universal.

They will begin to record their first album in March and look to release it in late 2005. Next on the Young Money roster is R&B artist Real, who’s soulful voice can be heard on ‘I Miss My Dawgs’ and ‘On My Own’ on Tha Carter and rapper Dizzy formerly of Wayne’s old group Sqad Up.
