Lupe Fiasco announced on August 20 that he would be personalizing verses for his fans for $500.
“I will personalize a 1 verse song for you. $500. You pick the instrumental, mood & subject. 1 physical copy which you must come pick up,” the rapper said on Twitter.
Yesterday (August 21), Kid Cudi questioned this move.

A custom verse is not to “Swindle” you as my competitors would have you believe. It’s to give you total control over what you want to hear.
