Dr. Dre has participated in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, an initiative to raise awareness for ALS [Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis], which is also often referred to as Lou Gherig’s disease. 

In his video, Dr. Dre accepts a challenge posed by Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, who participated in the challenge, as well. 

Those who participate in the challenge dump ice on their heads and nominate others to do the same within 24 hours. If those who are nominated do not accept, they are to donate money to ALS research. 

In his video, Dre nominates Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar to participate in the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Drake, Iggy Azalea and Lil Wayne are among other celebrities who have joined the challenge.
