Meek Mill To Remain In Jail Until At Least October

Meek Mill's appeal for an early release was denied by a judge.

Meek Mill will remain in jail until at least October 11, according to a story on nbcphiladelphia.com

The rapper went before a judge today (August 18) and asked to be released from jail in order to return to his career and to support his son and others. Instead, the judge ordered the Philadelphia artist to take anger management classes and a parenting class.

The MMG rapper has been on probation for about five years and has not been accused of committing any crimes during that time, the story says, though he failed a drug test in 2014 and also appeared to feature a gun in a music video this year. His attorney said that he had a prescription for the OxyContin after an injury and that the weapon used in the video was a water pistol, not an actual gun.

In July, one of Meek Mill’s attorneys requested an emergency hearing to get an explanation of why the rapper was incarcerated. He was reportedly apprehended because of his behavior while on probation. Among his alleged infractions were posing with a gun in a clip from a music video that was posted on Instagram. He was sentenced to three-to-six months in jail.

It's hard to feel sorry for him when he tried to sue his own city and the police. What did he think was going to happen? They're definitely not gonna give you any special celebrity treatment now you ungrateful prick.

a real c000n, even his main homie calls himself c00nphilly

Not a Mills fan but them sound like some weak violations to me. It is what it is

failing a drug test, posing with weapons and slandering the judge, district attorney and your P.O. sounds kind of serious to me as well as the direct violation of orders not to make any plans on certain dates.

What a humbling experience for someone who seems so overly cocky for the little he's accomplished in music.

  • Anonymous

If Guwop can put out 9 mixtapes and 3 albums this year while he's locked up all year I don't see why Meek can't be releasing some new music or the album when it's finished and he's only doing 3-4 months.

  • Rocc1

Everyone can blame the system but this man actions caused him to be in system. He is on probation why would he post pics of himself with a gun on Instagram and the cry when he gets violated. He can't blame no one but hisself. I come from a generation where if you man enough to commit the crime you do your time. This generation is just plain soft.

  • Anonymous

You telling me Meek Mill and his thug buddies would seriously pose for a picture holding water pistols (that looked like real guns) on social media with some tough guy shooter captions for all their fans to laugh at them?

  • Anonymous

they should just put Meek back on the shelf for a few months and give Rockie or Stalley some push.

  • Anonymous

idiota maybe his dumbass will be more humble when he gets out

Definitely later man! Those singles bombed. It's actually been a nice summer have't been hearing Meek screaming at all in the clubs. It will be out by the beginning of 2015. The singles did not bomb at all. And meek doesnr scream. Youre referring to eminem, the pop sell out. Now hes doing songs with sis. That equalizer trailer song sucks.

    • Anonymous

Eminem doesn't even scream anymore and you're in serious denial if you don't think Meek screams. Also, Headlights is a dope song and it didn't bomb, it did better than any of Meek's singles,

    • Anonymous

"sellout" is one of the dumbest words used in rap just like "classic" Eminem is still a better rapper than your favorites even if he does a track with carrie underwood

    • Anonymous

You mean that gay ass apologize song eminem did with f.u.n that bombed. Wouldnt be surprised if eminem does a song with taylor swift (a sellout of her own as she abandons her country fans in favor of being pop sellout.

    • Anonymous

I Don't Know was a failure. Just like Off The Corner which was actually a dope song.

Mills is in prison for being a twitter thug, posting pics with guns online and slandering his P.O., D.A. and judge... aint no street cred there

just think of it as some much needed time to step his lyrics and rhyming abilities up, ross also mastered his craft while he was on the inside.

"Tanto: "The album will come out sooner or later" Definitely later man! Those singles bombed. It's actually been a nice summer haven't been hearing Meek screaming at all in the clubs. Posted2 minutes ago" He will still be more succesful financially than all his detractors so I feel no sorrrow for his situation, he can tour the world off the songs he puts on a free Mixtape and be Rich Forever with smart investments so it is what it is. It is good to know that he will be a free man in a few months.

    • Tanto

"he can tour the world off the songs he puts on a free Mixtape" That is if his P.O. decides let's him leave Philly. "and be Rich Forever with smart investments so it is what it is" That is if he doesn't blow it all on jewelry, multiple baby mommas, and cars he can't afford. Plus the entourage of hanger ons, dead beat family members and weed carriers. You would be surprised how many rappers are living way beyond their means just to keep up the image. Meek doesn't seem very smart when it comes to investments and managing money. He is after all rotting in a cell at the height of his career for some dumb violations he could have easily avoided.

Officer Ricky throw Meek ur set of cell keys.....u always lockin niggaz up n never let no 1 out

I dont wish incarceration on no Black man over something as petty as Oxycotin and prop guns but the system is designed to oppress and you have to abide by their conditions or else risk losing your freedom,

    • Anonymous

hes in denial that his brothers are out here wearing skirts, painting their nails and wearing girls jeans because they think it's swaggy and stylish. last time i checked hip-hop was way bigger with white folk when niggas were still wearing baggy jeans and 4xl tees,

    • Anonymous

lol @ "capture" a white female this ain't pokemon nigga, all kanye did was shoot the club up and get her pregnant, this ain't got shit to do with the "system" or the "emasculation of the black male" lmfaooo y'all pro black conspiracy theorists kill me, always trying to blame the "system" for your own fuck ups, yet you don't say nothing about black on black violence cause you can't put the blame on the system lol

    • Anonymous

Sacrificing a piece of your masculinity is a sacrifice to elevate yourself within a system of white supremacy because strong Black male images are considered a threat and a discomfort to insecure white males within this system....however even an effeminized Black man like Kanye was still able to capture a female classified as white and create a non-white child so the system has its glitches.

cudi wore a cute kilt too

" or in a dress " niggas is still in denial that about black men like kanye, mos def, diddy, 2 chainz, big sean, asap rocky etc all willingly wearing skirts and dresses with their own free will

    • Anonymous

They feel most comfortable when we are in jail or in a dress so you can expect double the hatred when Meek is released.

  • Anonymous

What a big weenie! Why can't he do his time like a real G? Did you hear about Beans begging to get let out every other week? Nope.. and he wasn't serving no 3 months.

It's a futile effort because we are so fruitful that for every one of us that you kill or incarcerate their are others who are graduating from college and opening businesses and having babies that that are afforded opportunities that their predecessors were denied.

That Dream whatever shit is definitely not coming out September 9th now. I hope he comes home with a new found appreciation for what his boss Officer Ricky used to do to real street niggas like him errryday.

Even if his P.O. Gives him travel restrictions he can still do shows in Philly and fatten his pockets in addition to getting paid for features to add to the $$$ he gets from his endorsements and his publishing so regardless of his Parole conditions he will still be raking in hundreds of thousands annually so I can't feel sorry for him. LOL.

    • Cleetus

"But seriously how can you speak for real "street dudes" when you are an anonymous suburban white nerd?" Are you a psychic or do you just accuse everyone who dislikes an MMG artist as being a white suburban nerd? You must be that middle aged MMG groupie they're always making fun of on here for having long fingernails and being overly emotionally attached to all things MMG?

    • Anonymous

"promoters will pay top dollar to book Meek for shows after he is released" we'll see if his P.O. lets him tour LOL... dumb nigga fucked it all up for himself acting like a bitch on twitter

    • Anonymous

The album will come out sooner or later and promoters will pay top dollar to book Meek for shows after he is released so dont worry about the Bul. But seriously how can you speak for real "street dudes" when you are an anonymous suburban white nerd?

  • Anonymous

As for Meek, he better get it together or they gonna make him keep sitting until their satisfied with his "progress"

  • Anonymous

Just do your couple months in county you fuckin pussy lol dude is applying for early release because he too big a bitch to do 3 fuckin months in county jail some tough guy ROFL

  • Anonymous

These dudes claim to be so real until they get caught up. Then they claim that they were just playing around. A WATER PISTOL?

    • ^to YOU f*CKBOY

Meek violated his probation, he gotta do his time. PERIOD. Like ANY other male or female out here who does the same. But here YOU come, with some internet garbage. I don't have not one song made from Meek Mill in my music collection. Don't follow his social media. I do what I said in the second sentence BOY. YOU the one who caught feelings because I DESCRIBED YOU.

    • @1st Replier

Look at the way you responded. Everybody can see OP struck your nerve. Are you really that much of a Meek Mill dickrider that you instantly catch feelings whenever you see someone calling him out on his fuckery? How much do you get paid to play Captain-Save-A-Meek??? You definitely need some medical help.

    • Anonymous

For real bruh. one or two of his weed carriers posted up the same pictures in question on their IG of them holding the choppers next to Meek with the pistol talkin bout how they shooters and killas.

    • Anonymous

Only punks do what you do, look for validation in some rapper's words instead of getting YOUR life together. Real men are concerned with theirs and listen to the music, read the articles and slap suckers like you around so you can try to get it right before you become pussy your whole life.
