This week on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart, PARTYNEXTDOOR leads the way with PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO. Meanwhile, Trey Songz’s Trigga goes from #13 to #16 and Iggy Azalea stays consistent and in the Top 20 with The New Classic. Last week’s debut, Common’s Nobody’s Smiling also appears on the list, this week experiencing a significant drop in sales. 

PARTYNEXTDOOR’S PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO Earns #15 Spot

PARTYNEXTDOOR has the #15 album of the week with PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO. The album, which is the top Rap/R&B effort on the chart, has sold 15,924 units in its first week of availability. The project by the OVO Sound singer features “Sex On The Beach,” “Grown Woman,” “Thirty,” and the Drake-assisted “Recognize.” The album follows PARTYNEXTDOOR’s 2013 EP, PARTYNEXTDOOR, which also featured only one guest, Drake. PARTYNEXTDOOR recently participated in Drake’s OVO Fest 2014.

Trey Songz’s Trigga Falls To #16 

Trey Songz’s Trigga finds itself falling from #13 to #16 this week. The album, which has been available for five weeks, dropped 12 percent in sales from 15,763 last week to 13,920 this week. Overall, Trey Songzhas sold 191,416 copies of Trigga. The album earned a favorable review from HipHopDX with a 4 out of 5 X rating. “As the soundtrack for when the turn up eventually involves turning down the sheets,” HipHopDX says in its album review, “Trey Songz has been one of the last decade’s most dependable hit record-making artists.” 

Iggy Azalea Remains In Top 20, Common Falls To #29

Iggy Azalea continues her consistency on the chart this week with The New ClassicThe album, which has been available for 15 weeks, stayed in the #18 position it occupied last week. While that remained consistent, her sales increased by one percent. That means, Azalea went from selling 11,957 units last week to 12,056 copies this week. Overall, Azalea has sold 270,442 units of The New Classic.

Common, who had the #6 album last week, experienced a sales decrease of 67 percent in Nobody’s Smiling‘s second week out. The effort, which sold 24,401 units in its first week, took a dip to 8,066 copies sold this week. That dropped Com from #6 to #29. Overall, Nobody’s Smiling has sold 32,603 units.
