Drake's OVO Fest Recap: 50 Cent, G-Unit, OutKast, Lauryn Hill, YG

UPDATE: 50 Cent and Lauryn Hill are among the guests in Day 2 as OutKast and YG headlined the first day of OVO Fest in Toronto, Canada.

Drake trotted out the fifth edition of OVO Fest last night in Toronto, Canada and for the first time, the annual event became a two-day show.

Sunday's day one was highlighted by headliners OutKast who are on their festival tour. They hit the stage at around 9 pm. “B.O.B.” and numerous hits from Stankonia set the tone for their set. Cuts from the critically acclaimed Aquemini album occupied the middle of their set.

OutKast was also joined onstage by Bun B for "International Player's Anthem."

The famous Atlanta duo's set lasted around 90 minutes in total.

YG became a surprise opener for the event as he kicked things off at around 7:40 pm. Sporting a red “Bompton” hat and a Toronto Blue Jays jersey, the South Central, Los Angeles native rocked the crowd with all of his hits and guest verses on songs like Wiz Khalifa’s “We Dem Boyz” and Jeremih’s “Don’t Tell ‘Em.”

Drake is slated to headline tomorrow's festivities at the Molson Canadian Amphitheater.

If YG was a real gangsta like he claims he never would have got past the border. Even Chris Brown got shut out of Canada for his criminal past.

Drake runs rap. Proven by running selling out tours and large scale events such as this. He's not only making bank selling singles and albums but is successful across the entertainment business. I see Drake become the next Sean "Diddy" Combs

Wonder why Lil Boosie, who has a badass, not perform? He's the super lyricist of the south. OVO needs to sign Boosie.
