Kendrick Lamar and Kahlil Joseph are set to debut a 14-minute short film, m.A.A.d., at Sundance’s NEXT Fest, a mini-film festival, according to Fader.
The short film is based on Kendrick Lamar’s debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city.
Joseph has won a Sundance Award for “Until The Quiet Comes,” a film he worked on with Flying Lotus.
The site says m.A.A.d is set to star “a kaleidoscope of storylines and ideas that defy typical categorization to explore new languages and new forms.”
The film is set to premiere August 9 at the Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles and it is set to feature Kahlil Joseph in a panel discussion. Tinashe is also set to perform at the screening.
