Jay Z may be on tour with his wife, Beyonce, as they run through the nation with On The Run, but the emcee is also keeping his hand in the sports management world as he continues to oversee Roc Nation Sports.
Recently, CC Sabathia spoke with New York radio station Power 105.1’s Angie Martinez about Jay Z’s work.
“He’s the founder,” Sabathia says. “He’s on tour doing his thing, but he always gives us support and whatever we need. So, it’s great being a part of that family. I’m glad I signed with Roc Nation.”

While Jay Z balances life between sports and Hip Hop, CC Sabathia says he also has an appreciation for both. The New York Yankees pitcher explains he has a particular affinity for one track right now.
“I’m a huge Hip Hop fan,” he says. “Right now, I’m on that ‘Believe Me.’ That’s all I want to hear.”
Sabathia is out for the season for the Yankees and says he’s set to return next Spring training.
