During Jay Electronica’s Twitter exchange over the last two days, the rapper posted pictures of himself and an entourage. When posting the images, Electronica also added the Twitter handles of Kendrick Lamar, Top Dawg Ent. CEO Top Dawg, Drake, Wale and 50 Cent, among others.

Following this, Top Dawg Ent. president Punch responded with a message for Electronica.

“Speak through the music,” Punch said on Twitter, “You’ll reach further.”

As reported earlier today (July 15), Jay Electronica has been vocal on Twitter about his perspective regarding the state of the music industry.

“There’s a reason my songs have as much effect on ppl and staying power as they do. #AllPraisesDueToAllah…What would you rather, 20 albums about nothing or 1 song about something real genuine good and true? #SmartenUp #TheMatrixHasYou…97% of The Artist in music are making songs about absolutely nothing…There’s a reason my songs have as much effect on ppl and staying power as they do. #AllPraisesDueToAllah…Don’t talk to me bout mc’s got skills.. the game is a clown circus. And We are putting EVERYBODY ON NOTICE…#AMessageToTheSneakHaters You Cant Stop God’s Work, nor His Plans. #RumbleYoungManRumble Jealousy and Envy are terrible diseases.”
