DJ Khaled says that the Miami Heat is going to defeat the San Antonio Spurs in this year’s NBA Finals. After Miami tied the series at one game apiece, Khaled says Miami is going to close out with three straight wins.

He appeared on ESPN’s First Take today (June 10) and calls the Spurs “cheaters” after their 110-95 Game 1 victory on Thursday (June 5). The air conditioning broke at the AT&T Center before the start of Game 1 and Heat star LeBron James got cramps and left the game in the fourth quarter. He did not return.

“The streets is saying they cheated,” Khaled says.

DJ Khaled wore a red Heat jersey to the First Take interview, which took place at the Clevelander Hotel on Miami’s South Beach. He says that he is representing for Dade County and the 305, the county in which Miami is in and the city’s area code, respectively.

The Heat beat the Spurs in seven games for last year’s NBA Championship. Miami is playing for its third straight title.

“We are champions and you have to kiss the ring,” DJ Khaled says, referencing the Heat’s 2013 NBA championship and his own 2012 album, Kiss the Ring

During the ESPN interview, DJ Khaled also says that Rick Ross and Ace Hood are the easiest artists to work with in the studio.

“Those are like my family and my brothers for real,” he says. “So like you know it’s heavy-deavy in the studio together and we make great music together just every single day.”
