In a recent interview with Jakk Doe, Ja Rule described some projects he’s been working on. His forthcoming Follow The Rules reality show focuses on his family and him.

“It’s coming real soon,” the rapper says. “We just started shooting it, so it’ll probably be coming in the next season.”

Ja Rule also said he is working on his next album, Genius Loves Company. “We’re having some fun with it,” he says of the project, which has no release date.

He is also publishing a book, Unruly: The Highs and Lows of Becoming a Man, which he said is set to drop tomorrow (June 3) via Harper Collins Publishers. The publisher lists the release date as July 1. The book is set will explore Ja Rule’s life and his many roles as a Hip Hop artist, father and husband.

Ja Rule also joked with Jakk Doe about the possibility of a Ja Rule app that could modify a user’s voice to sound like his.

“T-Pain got one,” Ja Rule says with a laugh. “We making a Ja Rule app.”

Murder Inc., the label on which Ja Rule released the majority of his music, celebrated its 15-year anniversary yesterday (June 1)

Following 50 Cent’s Summer Jam 2014 performance yesterday, Ja Rule addressed his longtime rival on Twitter.

“Damn after all these years I’m still in a niggas head lmao!!! Thanks for the shoutout @50cent #SummerJam2014,” Ja Rule said. “This nigga been on my dick he love my style!!! (Nas voice) lmfao @50cent. Ya’ll respect the one who got shot??? I respect the shooter!!! Niggas these days smh #hustlingbackwards lmao…”

These comments come following 50 Cent’s performance of “I Smell Pussy,” a track that disses Ja Rule and Murder Inc. On the song, 50 Cent calls Irv Gotti a “fat-ass.” He also mocks Rule, insults Charli Baltimore and expresses affection for Ashanti.
