Major League Lacrosse has responded to Jay Z’s dis of the sport on DJ Khaled’s “They Don’t Love You No More.”

On the song, Jigga raps, “Haters wanna ball, let me tighten up my drawstring/ Wrong sport, boy, you know you soft as a lacrosse team.”

Major League Lacrosse issued a statement regarding Jay Z’s lyrics today (April 29).

“Lacrosse is often called the fastest sport on two feet,” an MLL spokesperson said in a statement toMTV News today. “Players are on the field dodging and shooting balls at over 100 miles per hour. With that said we don’t think Jay-Z knows what he’s talking about when he calls Lacrosse ‘soft’ I can guarantee you it is anything but a ‘soft’ sport. Mr. Carter would not last one minute on a lacrosse field during a match and he is more than welcome to come to any of our games and try.”

In a story published yesterday (April 28), DJ Khaled discussed his new material with Jay Z.

“I just left Marcy Projects,” he said. “What you think I’m playing with this shit? Eight summers. I got Jay Z, Shawn Carter. I got Hova on my first single. Fuck this shit. I’ma show the game, boy.”

In 2012, Jay Z and DJ Khaled worked together on “3 Kings” from Ross’ God Forgives, I Don’t album.
