With high-charting singles like "Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin')" and "Bartender," T-Pain was one of the most known auto-tune artists of the mid-2000s. As the vocal tool is making a re-emergence in Hip Hop music lately, Teddy Pain recently sat down with Montana's Zoo 107.5 FM and said that Hip Hop music is lacking original content.
“At this point, I’m proud of myself and ready to show the world that they need me," he said when asked about where he is in his career. "I think the game needs me, they need original content.”
The Tallahassee, Florida native also said he is the best to ever do it when it comes to creating original content and that fans of Hip Hop music need T-Pain back in their lives.
“I’ve always come out with something original and I don’t think anybody is doing that anymore,” he continued. “The game needs T-Pain and I’m the best to ever do this and I'm going to be the best to ever do this so why not just come back and give the people what they want.”
Toward the end of the interview, T-Pain noted that he has gotten to work with every artist on his "wish list" and has no regrets about how his career has progressed so far. He also said there's "no big rush" in regards to putting out his next studio album.
