Diddy Reportedly Makes $200 Million Bid To Buy Fuse TV Network

Diddy would bring REVOLT to more viewers if he is successful in this potential Fuse TV purchase.

Diddy bid $200 million for Fuse TV, according to Bloomberg.

The publication, which notes three people with knowledge of the situation as its sources, says that if Diddy purchases Fuse, his network, REVOLT, would have greater distribution and higher subscriber fees. According to Bloomberg's findings, Fuse is available in approximately 74 million homes. Meanwhile, REVOLT reaches 22.8 million homes.

Kimberly Kerns, a spokesperson for MSG, which owns Fuse, recently addressed this matter. “As we have stated, we are exploring strategic alternatives for Fuse, and will have no further comment during what is still an ongoing process,” Kerns said.

Paul Sweeney, an analyst for Bloomberg, says this is a low offer. “An offer of $200 million seems low for almost 75 million households,” Sweeney says. MSG has been asking for approximately $400 million for Fuse, as per Bloomberg.

REVOLT launched in 2013. Around the time of its launch, Diddy spoke about his plans for the network. "Music is consumed at an all-time high right now," he said at the time. "If you think about it, in the next five years, television will be everywhere. It will be on your mobile devices. It will be everywhere. It will be worldwide. That's really the opportunity I saw. I saw there was no ESPN of music. There was no CNN of music. There was no one trusted destination."

"Diddy made Biggie famous, why the fuck are yall hatin him" AND BIGGIE MADE DIDDY FAMOUS! IT GOES BOTH WAYS. BIG WAS THE ONE WITH THE TALENT.

    • Anonymous

because diddy is the musical equivalent of a pimp, all the rappers are his hoes and he makes money from them, they are the talent, he has never written a hit song for himself, props to being a successful pimp though. And why the fuck won't people stop going on about grammys like it means something... so in turn you like all grammy winners from the whole span of the awards across all genres? just because you win a grammy don't mean everybody has to respect you..

    • NY HARLEM

^Diddy made Biggie famous, why the fuck are yall hatin him?

    • Anonymous

Nope. More like thanks to the tons of people who took part in producing and writing Diddy's raps. Still, Life After Death is a superior album.

    • Anonymous

More like thanks to a grammy that it won over life after death.

    • Kizman

^shit was a classic my man, i still got victory and been round the world in heavy rotation and i aint even from NY (from long beach).

Does anyone understand what they mean by bid? Obviously a lot of you suburban test tube babies and ghetto ass crack babies don't. If someone comes along with a better offer then Diddy doesn't get to buy fuse, or fuse might end up bargaining with Diddy until they agree on a figure, or fuse just stays put.

    • Anonymous

Hush fool. Diddy is a BRAND if Fuse wanna go to war then they can strap up but Revolt is the fuckin culture.

  • Anonymous

Diddy is a broke nigga, how the fuck he gon buy somethin for 200 milly?

  • Anonymous

That's bs puffy don't have that kind of money right now cause revolt tv took like $400mil

  • Anonymis

Obviously there wasn't much promotion for excuse my french. Heavy radio play, banners on every music website, French himself claiming blockbuster numbers on interviews before the release, twitter and instagram blew up, but there wasn't much promotion. Riiight, maybe he should put more into the music and his bars next time and maybe he won't see numbers rappers selling cd's in the barbershop get.

Pop That is not the biggest hip-hop song of 2012. There was tons of hip-hop songs that did better than it. Besides, Thrift Shop is a hip-hop song, more hip-hop than Pop That.

    • ^

You're right, it wasn't. It's the biggest rap song of 2012. I don't count thrift shop as hiphop but more into bitchmade music.

    • Anonymous

      No, it wasn't

    • ^

but Pop That was the 2nd biggest rap song of 2012 behind thrift shop!!!

the 40 year old nigga who takes selfies in his car thinks niggas really go on twitter and IG for pussy, LOL what a geek

    • Anonymous

Net Nerds need to kill that noise about Banner Ads and Website promotion knowing damn well that the street crowd that fucks with Frenchie only go online to Tweet for pussy and IG for more pussy. The mane did decent enough numbers he did more than Big Sean and right around that area of Yo Gotti, Tyga and Pusha T......Wale doubled French but he got bitches buying his rhymes.

He wasn't saying it was the next life after death. He said it was its own thing that is on a league COMPARABLE to life after death. That also means being the chronic, mmlp, and other classic albums. And it truly was a classic album.

    • Anonymis

That's not what they were saying leading up to the album release tho, French was talking about his album like it was they next Life After Death in interviews, the expectations were nothing like the results and then he backpedaled when he saw those lemonade stand numbers. He was better off not saying anything.

    • Anonymous

Pop that was a huge hit but no other singles came out and interscope did not do much promotion. 1,000 people check out every hiphop site but its not like 1 million.

  • Anonymis

Outside of rap music you gotta respect Diddy. I hope he doesn't pull a Bob Johnson with Revolt and has Fuse received better bids yet?

  • Anonymous

Got love for Diddy just wish he would teach his artists how to conduct business and not be co dependant on him.

    • Anonymous

how he create him? you dont think biggie could have made it on his own? he might have been a doper rapper without diddy dancing all in his videos and shit.

    • Kizman

how the fuck you gon diss Diddy when he created one of the greatest rappers of all time?

    • Anonymous

lol that'll be the day. lmao then he wouldnt be able to rape them and take all they money

  • Anonymous

weak niggas win grammys every year. he can't even write his own songs.

  • Anonymous

Diddy is a terrific rapper, winning a grammy yet you all bash him. Biggie's great but rick ross is even better and the next biggie.

    • Anonymous

you tell me you have a better view

Haha the last resort of a person who can't win an argument! fiddy hahahaha

    • Anonymous

You just keep on smoking that crack i think i'll stay in the real world, i have truly given up on hip hop forums too many idiots with no musical understanding you keep on sucking off that fat fuck ross and i'll just listen to music

    • Anonymous

Feelings were caught from this lonely white geek. Middle aged 40 year old man dickriding biggie and hating on the man who made him successful. Ross is on biggie's level.

    • Anonymous

I'm guessing you're female? i don't even watch the grammys or care about who wins, an accolade from the music industry doesn't sway my like for an artist or the music they make, and by saying biggie and ross are on the same lyrical is crazy, saying that they are both fat... that doesn't even make sense

    • Anonymous

Cmon, you were secretly cheering kenwack to win over wacklemore. If biggie had won, you would dickride his nuts. Ross is the next biggie. They both look similar, they both rap killer lyric, personal inspiration, and the I dont give a fuck attitude.

    • Anonymous

first off grammys don't mean shit, biggie and ross ain't even on the same page.... are you diddy? Cos you certainly seem to have a hard on for this man and no one loves diddy like diddy!

    • Anonymous

Biggie only got popular because he died while Ross is already more successful than him. Also, Diddy won a grammy over life after death.

    • Anonymous

Rick ross better than biggie? diddy a terrific rapper? you sir are a clown!

    • Anonymous

There is no biggie anymore. He's dead. But ross is the succesor to him, maybe he's biggie reincarnated.

    • Anonymous

If you think Rick ross is the next biggie u must be a dam Fool. There is only one biggie and he will always be remembered as the king of NY.

"you mean sellout" Diddy is all about the Benjamin's, the true sellout is Eminem who went from being a fierce battle rapper to a guy with Skylar Grey and Alex da Kidd on his last album.

    • Anonymous

"Montana and MGK are dope rappers that respect hiphop." No, they're not. They're terrible rappers with no respect for hip-hop. "Diddy actually produced it, yet let alex da kid take credit." Diddy doesn't even do any producing. Alex Da Kidd produced his last hit song.

    • Anonymous

Diddy actually produced it, yet let alex da kid take credit.

    • Anonymous

"Alex Da kID DOES HIPSTER MUSIC like radioactive." is that why Diddy called him up to make his last real hit record? LOL

    • Anonymous

Montana and MGK are dope rappers that respect hiphop. Alex Da kID DOES HIPSTER MUSIC like radioactive.

    • Anonymous

Diddy went from bringing up artists like Notorious B.I.G., Black Rob, The Lox, etc, to putting on rappers like French Montana & MGK....

He should team up with Jay-Z and buy it.

We need a new Eurodance / Italo disco/ Tech House album from Puff.

  • Not Impressed

200 Million is ridiculously low for a successful television network. The CEO's at Fuse probably laughed when they heard about this. And isn't that like half of his money? lol This man must think he's a billionaire or something. Just throwing away that much money as if he can afford to. I'm not saying what he has isn't a lot, but there's levels... He's rapper rich, but not TV network rich. Most people who own networks have billions in the bank, Puff is way out of his league. Fuse are not going to accept that offer, and Revolt is a flop that will eat away at all of his money. This is what happens when ego gets the best of you. I'm not impressed

    • Anonymous

      1. Excuse My French got tons of promo. 2. Macklemore and Kendrick are not pop artists. 3. Macklemore and MGK sound nothing alike. MGK never had a song called Thrift Shop. 4. Having the 18th best-selling hip-hop of 2013 is terrible and French is not the most sought after artist to book.

    • Anonymous

French Montana had the 18th best selling Rap album of 2013 which is great considering the fact that he can't actually rap, he's still one of the most sought after artists to book.

    • Anonymous

thats what everyone says after they flop

    • Vinny

Obviously there wasn't much promotion for excuse my french. It's a dope album but got ignored in favor of pop stars like macklemore and kendrick. BTW, macklemore stole mgk's act. Macklemore listened to mgk's thrift shop and copied it word for word.

    • Anonymous

" Diddy is such a remarkable salesman" so remarkable Excuse My French went quadruple diamond.

    • Anonymous

LOL 1 month? it launched in October.

    • Anonymous

Are you slow? If Magic Johnson can have a network then so can Diddy and Diddy is such a remarkable salesman he won't have any trouble finding investors and corporate sponsors. Saying that Revolt is a flop after 1 month is idiocy and you people said the same thing about Oprah and OWN.

    • Anonymous

He obviously wasn't putting up 200 of his own millions, he has investors. Just like he doesn't really own Revolt.

  • Diddy's Cheescake

Fuse cannot be worth more than 50 milli can it? This would be a nightmare. Rick Ross and French Montana videos all day long LOL. Maybe some re-runs of Diddy's Making Da Band in the wee hours of the morning.

    • Anonymous

      you're saying he's not smart?

    • Anonymous

You dont become the richest man in rap by solely catering to the Negroes, your target audience is twenty-something white males because they have the most spending power to buy your albums, clothing, cologne, and alcohol that will be advertised extensively through all forms of media including Revolt/Fuse. Content is always key, if Diddy was smart he would give us an updated Rap City and try to wrestle Aaron Mcgruder and his "Black Jesus" to Revolt but thats not likely to happen.

    • Anonymous

Diddy out here giving rich white boys and former pro snowboarders reality tv shows on Revolt, should make for some great programming when they premier.

    • Anonymous

he doesn't promote them like that

    • Anonymous

What an ignorant comment, most of the programming wont even be music videos and why say Ross and French when MGK, Los, Janelle Monea and French would be a more accurate joke?

    • Anonymous

I watched some of Revolt and it was solid programming, they had a almost 106&Park vibe during thie segment I watched but more geared towards adults they interviewed Slim Thug had some live Rock bad perform and then had an outdoor concert. Diddy can buy Fuse and turn it into Revolt, kill the competition and bubble, so proud to see a Brother making moves like this.

    • OoNO

lmao!!! nah it would be a good look though brothas owning shit..
