BJ The Chicago Kid, who appears on “Studio” off ScHoolboy Q’s Oxymoron, recently spoke about his bond with the TDE rapper.

“Q was cool,” BJ says in the MySpace interview. “He was a little quiet when I first met him. But reserved guys are guys that you want to holler at—you want to see what’s on his mind and get below the surface. So we blew a blunt and started rapping a little bit. He’s my dude, though.”

Despite their bond and their Oxymoron collaboration, BJ says he has not had a chance to celebrate the album’s release with ScHoolboy. Nevertheless, he says the time to celebrate more accomplishments will come.

“We celebrate life in general, not to sound cliché or corny, but it’s true,” BJ says. “We kick it hard every time we’re together. I actually didn’t make it to any of the release parties, ’cause I’m trying to lock down this EP that I’m closing up.”

The interview offered no further details regarding BJ’s upcoming EP.

Oxymoron was this week’s #1 album on the Billboard Hot 200 albums chart. The TDE/Aftermath Entertainment project sold 138,950 copies this week to earn the #1 spot on the chart.
