Kid Cudi "SATELLITE FLIGHT: The journey to Mother Moon" First Week Sales Projections

Kid Cudi's "SATELLITE FLIGHT: The journey to Mother Moon" is expected to be the week's second-highest charting album, following ScHoolboy Q's "Oxymoron."

Kid Cudi's first week sales projections are in for the rapper-singer's most recent album, SATELLITE FLIGHT: The journey to Mother Moon.

SATELLITE FLIGHT, a surprise release from Kid Cudi, is expected to sell approximately 90,000 units in its first week, according to Billboard. It is expected to be the week's second-highest charting album, falling behind ScHoolboy Q's Oxymoron.

Cudi's FLIGHT is only available on iTunes, as the project was released exclusively through this retailer as a surprise Tuesday (February 25). Cudi's FLIGHT release is reminiscent of Beyonce's rollout for the singer's self-titled 2013 album, which was also only available through iTunes.

If Cudi sells 90,000 units of SATELLITE FLIGHT, the album's first week sales figure falls far below his previous album, Indicud's first week total. Indicud, released in 2013, sold approximately 136,000 units in its first week

SATELLITE FLIGHT: The journey to Mother Moon was announced via Twitter, when Cudi shared the following link to the album.

The article states, "If Cudi sells 90,000 units of SATELLITE FLIGHT, the album's first week sales figure falls far below his previous album, Indicud's first week total. Indicud, released in 2013, sold approximately 136,000 units in its first week", is inaccurate in that it only released online and is not available as a physical (hard copy) yet so the numbers will obviously be down. That part in the article is misleading though.

    with no promotion. hmm

No promotion and no hard copy until a month and it's still doing 90,000 with an $10 dollars pay for 6 tracks and 4 instrumentals.

Just keep posting Ross and way more Lord Jamar. That's all we need from you DX. That good house nigro shit. Leave the CudFam alone. Thanks.

You can't comment on it being "far below" Indicud. He barely talked about this one and put 6 songs on it with some self-produced instrumentals in between. No single. Only social media promo. No release date. Pretty sure he's still on Universal Republic, but cutting out G.O.O.D.'s middleman check is gonna do him well. Rumor is he's releasing a physical on the 29th glitch date. He'll auto sell 35k off his fan base alone. This will go on to sell 200k total off a in between lead up free-p turned album. he has movies coming out the next 2 consecutive months which he co-stars in. i wish dx would stop being salty and playing this man every chance they get. he'll be here for a while, sorry. they would never dare say "beyonce is going to sell far below her last album" before the numbers even begin to come out. that's like shitting on a corporation trying to drop the stock price down solely cause you don't want them to win. that's why j cole went after "predictions" and that's why he beat them. People see 90k and think "falling off" and that's not the case. oh well, i guess failed rappers make salty journalists.

How are we salty? We're stating that NUMERICALLY Satellite will sell less than Indicud. We never stated that Kid Cudi is falling off. Maybe you should brush up on your reading comprehension skills & read CAREFULLY instead of throwing an online hissy fit BEFORE YOU JUMP TO SUCH IDIOTIC CONCLUSIONS.

    • why oh why

      totally agree. ethered DX

Look at this wimp with his jacket open showing off his chest like he's the biggest boss. Rozay doesn't tease his fans he lets his tits hang right out and bounce around at every show.

Another Cudi flop. It didn't even sell as well as his last flop. 90k LOL. For a pop rapper, he should have done more.

can anyone explain the or is it? part about the glitch is it cudi just joking around?

  • John

Too bad this EP was horrid.

  • jeff spicoli

if he sells 90k or close to it, thats quite impressive for several reasons: A) i reckon cudi is indie now 2) it was a surprise release, and still doesnt seem to have much promo yet still except for i-net stories D) its an EP good for cudi
