T.I. stops short of saying he is the reason Jeezy appears on Rick Ross’s “War Ready,” but he says he played a role in the collaboration.

“I ain’t gonna say I brokered peace and got them in the studio,” T.I. says during an interview with MTV. “One of my closest partners in the game, man — Young Jeezy — I simply said to him, ‘We done did as much as we can do with this. It’s gone as far as we can take it, ain’t nothing else to do if it ain’t nothing that can’t be talked about, that hasn’t gone so far that a muthafucka can’t come back and…do what the fuck we do, man. Get money.’ War costs money.”

Rick Ross and Jeezy collaborated on the recently released “War Ready,” a selection off Ross’ upcoming Mastermind album, a collaboration that followed a feud between the two rappers. A rift between Jeezy and Ross dates back to at least 2010. In 2012, the two were involved in a scuffle. Footage of the brawl between Jeezy and Ross can be seen here

T.I. says in his MTV interview that Jeezy is open to have conversations about ideas that may be counter to his own opinion.

“Young ain’t the type of muthafucka you can just tell what to do, but if you can present something that makes more sense than what he had goin’ on, he will give you the opportunity to make it make sense to him,” T.I. says. “And I think the same for Ross.”
