Lil Scrappy’s mother, Momma Dee, a co-star of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, spoke about the recent nightclub brawl that reportedly took place during a taping for the show.

“It’s a shakeup in the palace and these young people are running amok,” Momma Dee said in an interview with Atlanta radio station Streetz 94.5. “I’m trying to get control of this thing. I got guards to my north, the south, the east and the west. The other night, they couldn’t maintain the gates.”

The shakeup did not involve Lil Scrappy, Momma Dee said.

“No, they know better than that,” she said. “They know the prince is ’bout that paw life. Trust and know that.”

The altercation did involve Shay Johnson, another Love & Hip Hop cast member.

“Somebody tried it,” Momma Dee said. “They came for it and she delivered…She’s okay. It’s emotional when people work the room. This individual was a friend of Joseline [Hernandez]. She got into it with Benzino’s girlfriend. She was going around bullying, basically what America would call bullying. Everybody was getting on her. She got a few verbal confrontations.”

Momma Dee said such confrontations are to be expected.

“A lot of people want to be on the #1 show in America, but a lot of people don’t want to receive what comes with being with us,” she said. “You have to have tough skin…Everything is real.”
