Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith has announced that a new album from TDE’s SZA is “coming soon.” Top made this announcement via Twitter yesterday (February 4). 

“New music and album from beautiful @justsza coming soon.1st 2hrs of this flight all sza music.. Her beautiful voice will help me relax ,” Top Dawg said in his Twitter update.

In January, Top Dawg said his TDE imprint would release six albums.  

“WE RAN 2013 WITH OUT DROPPING 1 ALBUM. I WONDER WUTS GONE HAPPEN IN 2014 WHEN I DROP 6.. THEY NOT READY 4 THIS #TDE #HiiiPoWeR TAKE OVER,” he said at the time. 

SZA’s signing with TDE was announced August 2013. At the time, SZA spoke about her influences.

“I was raised on a lot of John Coltrane, Satchmo, Miles Davis, Billy Holiday, and Björk with an adult obsession of all things Wu-Tang,” SZA said. “The one thing I’ve always admired is their ability to paint scenes with their sounds. When I write I usually let the beat saturate my mood and head space; that determines every scene and set design for any song, the rest is all secondary.”
