Prosecutors asked a judge to send Chris Brown to jail today (February 3), reports TMZ.
Brown appeared in a Los Angeles court for a hearing on his Washington, D.C. assault case stemming from an altercation in October during which Brown allegedly beat another man.
Prosecutors argued to the judge, who was the same judge who presided over Brown’s infamous Rihanna assault case, that “Brown’s violent behavior continues to increase in severity and frequency” and he poses “an increasing danger to society.”
Though prosecutors believe they have gathered sufficient evidence to say there is probable cause that Brown is guilty of the assault in D.C., the judge ruled that Brown should complete his 90-day rehab for anger management instead of going to prison.
Mark Geragos, Brown’s attorney, simply said the “superior lawyer” had succeeded, said he and brown would be in court again on February 28.
In December, the judge revoked Brown’s probation due to the alleged D.C. assault.
