TDE’s retOne blasted the media yesterday (May 10) after several outlets published information last week about Kendrick Lamar’s forthcoming album that was later determined to be inaccurate.
“whats up with these fake ass news stories. unless you see @dangerookipawaa talk about it, shit aint real. #TopDawg #TDE,” retOne, who handles management for the imprint, wrote in one tweet.
In another, he wrote, “that goes for Interscope, news, blogs, etc…if u aint see it come directly from us #TDE dont believe em…”
Rap Radar and hotnewhiphop.com were among the sites that posted the information, which, among other things, said that the Compton, California rapper’s forthcoming album would be titled United States Of A.L.A.R.M.
Rap Radar has since removed its initial post and also tweeted about its inaccurate information.
“Kendrick Lamar album info faker than a $3 bill, ya bish! Happy Saturday!” the site tweeted yesterday.
The tweets from retOne and Rap Radar are as follows:
