In 1993, Mobb Deep released its debut album, Juvenile Hell. Now, with a career spanning over 20 years, the Mobb’s Havoc recently reflected on the group’s longevity in a recent interview with Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club.”

“It don’t even feel like it,” said Hav. “When I look back on it, I’m like, damn! 20 years passed by that fast? So, what I say to young artists coming up now, enjoy every minute of it, because it just goes by so fast.”

Though the experience has been fleeting, Havoc remains grateful for the experience. “It’s a beautiful thing. It’s a blessing that we’re still around, promoting music, going on tour, making albums.”

The discussion turned to The Infamous Kit Vol. 2, a series of exclusive sound kits set for monthly digital release through HClassEntertainment.com. “It’s a bunch of drum sounds that I accumulated over the years,” he said. “It’s for upcoming producers, current producers. I just figured that I’d share the sounds with everybody. …It’s all the infamous sounds I used over the year.”

“I think it’s dope because you get to go back and use vintage drums that I used in the past,” said Havoc.

Havoc also spoke about the producer kit in a press release. “I’m looking forward to giving fans and up-and-coming producers a piece of that Queensbridge sound that I’m known for,” he said. “They’ll be able to take my signature sounds and really be able to put their own spin on them.”

Havoc also recently spoke to HipHopDX about the producer kit. “I asked myself, ‘What do I like? what do we like?'” Havoc said. “It ain’t nothing bright and happy, party and bullshit. It’s that dark, grimy sound, walking to the store to get a 40 [ounce bottle of beer]. I just put that into music. The description of those cold winter days, being broke, a shootout happening next to me and I almost got hit. I just put that into the music, the sound. It just happened. It wasn’t something I planned. I just translated my surroundings into music.”
