Chance the Rapper and Nipsey Hussle are among the artists green-label.com highlights in its “Check The Technique: Methods Emerging Artists Are Using To Get Noticed” article.

Chance The Rapper parlayed his rising stardom into a spot on BET’s 106 & Park,” green-label.com writes in its article. “Chance, who is on tour in support of his latest mixtape, Acid Rap — which debuted at number 63 on the Billboard Top R&B/hip-hop albums as a free release — shared his philosophy on his business model that eschews traditional entities like the music label.”

“I think it’s mad important for the American Dream to exist and work, and for people to believe in a homegrown and grassroots business,” Chance The Rapper said. “I’m on tour now. I’ve only dropped mixtapes, never signed to a label. Everything that I do is a part of my own business, and I think that in doing so as an independent artist, it gives some stake back in the music industry.”
