David Banner & 9th Wonder's "Be With You" Sparks Lawsuit

David Banner & 9th Wonder are among those being sued by the producer and publisher of Tyrone Davis’ “Be With Me” song, according to TMZ.com.

The lawsuit alleges that David Banner & 9th Wonder’s song “Be With You,” which also features Ludacris and Marsha Ambrosius, used Davis’ “Be With Me” without permission.

“Be With You” was featured on David Banner & 9th Wonder’s 2010 album, Death of A Pop Star.

Tryone Davis’s “Be With Me” and David Banner & 9th Wonder’s “Be With You” are as follows.

Why you have to say it like that? "Be original and you won't have this problem." True, some producers don't do much more than loop the record, but when you're dealing with cats like 9th who actually chop and rearrange and etc., there's more creativity involved than you seem to give credit to. I wouldn't say he's broke either. He's definitely not Top 40 radio famous, but I'm sure he's got enough to be missed if he's ordered to pay up.
