Lil Boosie’s brother said that the rapper is set to be released from prison May 16, 2014, but that he could be free as early as February 14 thanks to programs in which he’s participated, according to nola.com.

“He has plans to go straight to the studio to begin working on an album as well as his tour,” as soon as he is released, Boosie’s brother Taquari Hatch said to nola.com. Hatch serves as his brother’s business manager and said that Lil Boosie has already tour set for 2014.

Although New Orleans’ The Times-Picayune reported Wednesday (December 18) that the Baton Rouge rapper would be released from prison August 18, 2014, Hatch said to nola.com that a paperwork delay did not accurately report the time Lil Boosie’s sentence would be reduced due to his completion of a substance abuse class.

Hatch says that his brother has written more than 600 songs and a book while incarcerated.

Lil Boosie pled guilty to a third-offense marijuana charge in 2009, nola.com says. After a judge said that Lil Boosie had violated probation, Lil Boosie was sentenced to a four-year bid.
