Queens product 50 Cent will perform at Citi Field June 14, 2014 following a Major League Baseball game between the New York Mets and the San Diego Padres as part of the 2014 Mets Concert Series presented by Duane Reade. In addition to 50 Cent, the concert series will feature Huey Lewis and the News and R&B/Soul group Boyz II Men.

According to an official press release by the New York Mets, Huey Lewis and the News will perform Saturday, July 12 following the 4:10 p.m. Mets-Marlins game, and Boyz II Men will play Saturday, August 16 after the 7:10 p.m. Mets-Cubs game. The 50 Cent show will take place approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game from a stage in the outfield behind second base. Tickets for post-game concerts are on sale now at Mets.com and (718) 507-TIXX. Admission to the concert is included in the price of the game ticket.

February 6, 2013 marked the 10-year anniversary of 50 Cent’s Interscope debut, Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. Four days after being released on February 6 2003, the album sold 872,000 copies, and at the time was the highest-selling major label debut since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking record sales in 1991. Since then 50 has invested in Vitaminwater, established a partnership with Reebok through his G-Unit clothing line and started a boxing promotions company.
