Eminem’s childhood home has been demolished.

The home appears on the cover art for Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP and The Marshall Mathers LP 2. 

The two-story home in Detroit, Michigan was damaged in a fire earlier this month. More recently, the home was demolished after it was deemed “structurally unsafe,” according to hiphop-n-more.com. 

Deborah Mathers, Eminem’s mother, purchased the home in 1987, according to The Detroit Free Press.

In 1994, Mathers reportedly signed the deed to the home over to Ann Investment. The property has been owned by several entities since then.

In 2009, the home was purchased by EM & UU for $1. Later, it was abandoned and turned over to the Land Bank.

In September, real estate website Zillow estimated the house to be worth $33,000. However, M Live said that that value is likely high because the property is surrounded by abandoned homes.

The home gained notoriety recently when it was featured on the cover art for Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2, an album that was certified platinum last week.
