Q-Tip posted a photo on Instagram of Kendrick Lamar and him in the studio yesterday (November 18).

The caption says, “Studio tonight” and does not specify if the duo were working together or just hanging out.

A member of A Tribe Called Quest, Q-Tip has produced for Tribe, Mobb Deep, Nas and Jay Z and Kanye West, among others.

Kendrick Lamar released his debut major label album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, in 2012. The Compton, California rapper said in a recent interview that he isn’t trying to force the creativity for his next album.

“[I’m] letting the inspiration come for sure,” Lamar said during an interview with MTV. “If I knock myself into the wall, I’ll probably be out the game for a minute because it’s stressful trying to be creative rather than letting creativity come to you and being inspired by something.”
