Maino makes a distinction between Trinidad James’ comments regarding New York Rap and Kendrick Lamar’s “King of New York” claims during an upcoming interview with xxlmag.com

“What hurts me is New Yorkers, they don’t understand” Maino says in an interview with xxlmag.com slated to be released in full Monday (November 18). “’Kendrick said something. Kendrick was rapping, man, and there was a million responses that came right after. That was some Rap shit. You don’t see the difference?”

Maino was one of several rappers to respond when Trinidad James said that Atlanta runs New York musically.
