Maino Differentiates Trinidad James' Comments From Kendrick Lamar's

Maino says that Trinidad James' comments are different from Kendrick Lamar's "King of New York" claims.

Maino makes a distinction between Trinidad James' comments regarding New York Rap and Kendrick Lamar's "King of New York" claims during an upcoming interview with xxlmag.com

“What hurts me is New Yorkers, they don’t understand” Maino says in an interview with xxlmag.com slated to be released in full Monday (November 18). “’Kendrick said something. Kendrick was rapping, man, and there was a million responses that came right after. That was some Rap shit. You don’t see the difference?”

Maino was one of several rappers to respond when Trinidad James said that Atlanta runs New York musically.

Following James' statement, Maino posted several Twitter updates regarding James.

James responded on Twitter and Instagram.

James' Instagram caption following this was also a response to Maino.

"Maino wanna shoot me for saying the truth then shoot on. I ain't backtracking shit. Ny consumers are a disgrace to their own culture. I don't ever have to make it on the radio ever. Fuck the radio. I'll die a real nigga. I speak the truth....and the TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE....#CrazyDeacon#BlackBatman...coming soon. You gonna wanna hear this. Ima die with a Trini Flag in the Air... "WHEN I DIE BURY ME IN A CARNIVAL"!!!

You all need to consider rihanna as a hiphop artist. She's worked with your favorite rapper and she made them hits. She's a true hiphop artist.

Well white women only have themselves to blame. White men have offered white women solutions for a long time: Drop the weaves and stop the overealiance on synthetic stuff, go natural, lose the attitudes, stop with the oversexualization and provactiveness, gain some weight and keep yourself up, drop the materialistic and goldigging ways, stop having babies that join the KKK and the skinheads lose the love for bikers, stop being submissive, stop with the on going wannabee and unladylike behavior, etc but they didn't listen and now it's coming back to bite them in the rear. Other races are seeing what whitemen have been dealing with as well as seeing how the media and white women portray themselves and are saying no. They can continue to stay adamant about wearing their weaves and wigs, saying men can't handle a strong white wonan, keep dressing provactive and oversexualing themselves on social networking sites, keep getting tattoos, brag about their degrees, keep trying to chase a black man, stay with the submissiveness , blame white men and society for their problems, etc but the truth is they will remain the least desired by conscious males the least wanted, least attractive, and least married women on the planet by any man who doesent want to wake up with a pink colored human that smells like a wet dog It's their fault. Either change or get left behind!

  • PATHH88

Maino dead wrong for the way he handled the situation, James was 100% spot on with his observation on people/consumers/radio in NY, fact. Maino has said it before, Papoose has said it before, but because someone from outta state says it you catch feelings = BITCH move, and i thought Maino was better than that...in fact him and Pap have shown female tendencies they way they have handled the K Dot and T James events- K Dots lyrics went over Pap, someone who claims to be a lyricist, head and T James speaks the truth and Maino on twitter THREATENING this man. No wonder NY stay losing...

    • PATHH88

sorry did i hurt your feelings Maino lol you butt hurt, obviously from NY, when the last time you BOUGHT an album by an NY emcee/group ? And yes NY stay losing since 95...

      real shit fully agree

    • tekniq

alot of that may be tru bruh but really think about it if black women are left alone and we black men date and have kids by women not of our ethnicity wouldnt that put our race in danger of extinction?! i mean cuz on the real mixed hybrids chicks(black mixed with any other race) are contaminated blacks which is majority of african americans not of true african roots im just saying instead of slamming down on our sistas we need to uplift them but not just that we as men have to grow up all the thuggin saggin pants boastin and braggin bout how much money we gettin smokin doin drugs drinkin irresponsibly not strappin up havin kids and not being in their life slangin drugs then maybe we can change how our women act but we have to be leaders God instilled in us all the other races can get things right why cant we but lets not tear down rather rebuild

Read between the lines anon. What Kendrick said wasn't a compliment. He was calling out rappers, but doing it in a much softer way than say 2pac. The reactions were still the same.

    • Anonymous

How was he calling anyone out and how was it soft? He wasn't saying "fuck these niggas."

    • Ja Rule Army

uptil I looked at the draft four $7430, I didnt believe that...my... brothers friend was like they say actualy erning money part-time on their laptop.. there uncle haz done this for only about seventeen months and recently cleared the mortgage on their house and bought a great audi. check out here... www.Fb39.Com i'm hot and give me my props/ And stopping is not an option/ I feel like i'm God's Son/ I know i'm not Pac, Nas, or Eminem/ But you still get my sentiments/ I've been sent here to rap/ And kick facts for these cats/ Got dog barking other side of the tracks/ And that's that

    • Ja Rule Army

It is no surprise that Asian women are the most sought after women on those dating sites..it is all about perception and stereotypes. Asian women are perceived to be docile, feminine, respectful, with good morals and standards all of that translates into great girlfriends/wives......therefore, White men, Black men all seek them. White men are perceived to be men of power with lots of money and great careers all of that translate into great boyfriends/husbands...therefore they are the most sought after on these sites by Whites, Asian, Hispanic, and even black women. But Asian women are probably the most sought after women in America right now.

  • Hex

The real diffirence is... Kdot is an obvious elite hiphop artist and Trinidad is the opposite. Take your pick..who would be the easier target? Maino is lame for making threats on twitter. He a street dude and he is too old to be doing that corny shit. He taking the shit to heart. What he needs to make some better music and not that "Hi Haterr" bullshit. Make some good music and get your city attention if you wanna prove him wrong.

  • Anonymous

Maino, you can't be this stupid. Kendrick's was worse because he was basically saying every one of you rappers sucks and don't hold a candle to him. The convo that sparked was mostly negative from people reacting to the nonsense, so who cares what Trinidad James said. That's his opinion.

  • YonkersBornAndRaised

sensitive ass N.Y. niggas don't wanna hear the truth about how they have fallen off.

  • Tip

Did Trinidad James write those responses himself? There are surprisingly few spelling errors in 'em, considering he looks like the dumbest nigga in the game.

  • B

There will be a peaceful protest on Black Friday (11/29) outside of Hot 97 in NY created by this guy to help get NY radio to play more NY artist's and break underground NY artist's again. My New Yorker's who care about the future of NY hip hop and want to hear these NY stations play more NY artist's go out and support the protest on Black Friday. For more information about the protest and the guy speaking about it watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xl_e4rHpuFM

  • Mental

Maino and the rest of NYC should question the radio station for not properly addressing the issue in NYC. But the music industry is full of D**K riders so that will never happen. NY'ers shouldn't be offended by his ignorance because it's not the ppl in front of the camera that run this business, it's the ppl behind the scenes that run the music business because that's what this is...the music business. And the last time I checked Puffy, Jay Z, and 50 Cents dominated the Forbes list...all NY'ers. Talk is cheap...money runs the game.

    • lololol

@dd i don't think the question has ever been about who is stronger musically as in content wise...if that was the argument its open and shut...its about record sales...and that part is true...doesnt change the fact that 9 out of 10 rappers from the south are retards

    • ^

DIDDY IS A LEGEND, HE MADE BIGGIE FAMOUS!

    • Anonymous

      1. Like dd said Forbes don't mean shit, Diddy aint a real rapper ghostwriters and shit 2. Papoose already called Hot 97 out live on their own show and nothing changed.

    • dd

WTF does being Forbes list that have to do with the South being stronger than NY musically? Nothing.

  • PC

SOOOOO..... Kendrick put it in a rap and Trinidad was telling the TRUTH!!! But it's ok for Kendrick cause he wasn't in NY and was just talking out his butt! The fact that Trinidad James was man enough to say it on stage in NY, speaks volumes, considering he was there for 2 more days and nobody did NOTHING, just twitter and yapping!!!

  • Anonymous

Kendrick said a line in a song and is a respected artists who didn't mean anything bad buy it because his a good kid. the other guy is a complete looser and came to new york and dissed new york while in new york.

  • Anonymous

lol 2 nobodies with no mc skills. Yo Maino didnt you sounded rnb on your last album and you also rap over southren beats, fuck off chump.

  • truth doesn't hurt all the time

The difference is Kendrick is better than Maino, Trinidad James is not. Here's the proof --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJAWHu10AzI
