Azad Right has released “Now I Know,” a single off his upcoming “For The Hopeful” mixtape.

On the track, Right talks about people who have been disingenuous with him throughout his career.

“These people, they are not your friends,” Azad raps on the track. “Until your record’s buzzing and you’re hot again / Well, now I know / Y’all some groupies though.”

“Now I Know” also features Right’s lyrics about a woman who was also a fan of his work.

“She told me that she liked the way I rapped,” Azad rhymes on the selection. “And I should call her if I’m tryin’ to make it clap / Well, now I know / You just a groupie, ho.”

Azad Right released a statement to accompany “Now I Know.”

“I’m grateful for everyone that I’ve got to meet along the journey so far,” Azad Right said in a statement. “You’ve all inspired me to grow in one way or another. It’s been a long time coming and I truly appreciate your patience. This shit hasn’t gone as planned, but I have the opportunity to do what I love for a living and that’s all that I can ask for. Thank you. Here’s the first leak from my upcoming project ‘For The Hopeful’ coming early 2014.”

Last year, Azad released The Time Is Right, a project that features the selections “Pressure,” “Alone,” “Santa Monica” and “Player’s Club.”
