Nelly will release his seventh studio album M.O. on September 30, his first LP drop in three years. The St. Louis, Missouri-based artist has already released two singles for the upcoming project and has been promoting it heavily.

Speaking to HipHopSince1987 on the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards green carpet, Nelly talked about the album and says fans are going to hear something different from what he has done in the past.

“The album’s going to be kind of like something you’ve never heard before, I promise you,” he said in describing M.O.‘s sound. “We trying to push the limits. I’ve been in here working real hard with my brother Pharrell with the detailing to bring the sound and everything out. I think we’ve got that so make sure you cop it.”
