ScHoolboy Q has been doing his media rounds in support of his upcoming Interscope debut, Oxymoron. And while he’s spent time answering dozens of questions about the record and his background, his undoubtedly most entertaining interview was with another West Coast emcee.

ScHoolboy Q stopped in for an interview on Snoop Lion’s Double G News Network, where Snoop asked whether Top Dawg Entertainment’s attitude was a “with us or against us” mentality like Death Row Records’ was. “Ah man, go hard or go home,” explained Q. “Hustle like you broke. We got rules in the studio. No sleepin’, no slouchin’. You gotta go hard.”

Snoop also asked who Q goes to for critical feedback. “The homies, man. K. Dot, Ab-Soul… they’re a little biased,” said Q,  laughing.

Yet another subject the duo touched upon was how ScHoolboy Q and the rest of the TDE camp went about their business in the studio, perhaps with the legendary Death Row studio record sessions orchestrated by Dr. Dre in mind. “I don’t really keep too many bitches in the studio, because I have my daughter with me,” said Q, to which Snoop replied, “That’s beautiful! That’s a beautiful move. I’m saying after the fact, when you get the music right, because the bitches make everyone buy the records!”
