It’s been several tumultuous years for Lil Boosie. In 2011, Boosie was sentenced to eight years in state prison after pleading guilty to drug charges, stemming from an attempt to smuggle codeine, ecstasy, and marijuana into jail.
However, In 2012, Boosie was found not guilty of a first-degree murder, and even completed a GED program in prison.
Now, even more positive news regarding Boosie has come to light. Jeff Weiss, who has been covering the rapper’s trial for Rolling Stone, revealed that Boosie’s drug sentence could be cut short, and that fans could even be hearing new music from the rapper.
Though Boosie emerged relatively unscathed from the murder trial, the man who Boosie allegedly hired to murder Terry Boyd, 17-year-old Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding, still faces murder charges.
