Loaded Lux recently addressed how his new mixtape, You Gon Get This Work, is different from past projects in an exclusive statement to HipHopDX.

“This mixtape is different from the rest of the mixtapes we’ve put out just based on evolution, based on accessibility, different music and people, my peers that I got to record with,” Loaded Lux said to HipHopDX. “I’ve got to learn a lot. There’s so much more you got to offer in terms of being more knowledgeable with this project as opposed to the other ones that we’ve put out. So, you know, life moves forward. We grow. This is a progressive step for me.”

Loaded Lux’s next step comes in the form of a single, the Fat Trel-assisted “K.I.L.L.A.S.”

“‘K.I.L.L.A.S.’ is an acronym for knowledge illuminates life, love and success,” Lux said. “We thought that it would be dope. We thought that it would be something we can expound on. When you look at the word ‘killas,’ you think about it in a derogatory sense, maybe. This is why we sprinkled this acronym over it. I just want people to know what we’re killing. What we’re killing is ignorance. That’s always been my thing. Every time I step on that stage, if I can help to enlighten my peers and my peers do the same for me, let’s do that. Let’s kill some ignorance.”

Recently, Lux was in the headlines over a back-and-forth with SMACK/URL. Their disputes over “Summer Madness 3” were addressed by URL’s Beasley and Loaded Lux himself in separate interviews last week. Lux first addressed his views on “Summer Madness 3” with his single, “Bout My Money,” which can be viewed below.
