Jay Z collaborated with acclaimed filmmakers Ron Howard and Brian Grazer to create the Made in America documentary, which is slated to air on Showtime October 11. Showtime’s entertainment president David Nevins addressed the film in a press release. 

“As soon as we saw this film, we knew it was a perfect fit for Showtime,” Nevins said today (August 30). “Ron Howard and Jay Z have crafted an inspirational portrayal of American resilience, drive and creativity, interwoven with an incredible showcase of musical talent. We are proud to bring Made in America to Showtime where it joins our impressive roster of provocative and compelling documentaries helmed by award-winning filmmakers.”

“I believe every human being has genius level talent,” Jay Z says in the trailer for the clip, which can be seen below.

Kanye West, Jill Scott, Run DMC and Rita Ora are all set to appear in the film, which was produced by Radical Media and Participant Media.

Beyonce, Nine Inch Nails, Drake, Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Black Hippy are set to perform at this year’s “Made in America” festival in Philadelphia, which is slated to take place August 31 through September 1.
