Lil’ Kim was recently asked about a rumored performance with Foxy Brown at Hot 97’s annual “Summer Jam” concert. This rumored performance was allegedly scheduled to take place during a Fabolous set at the event. Kim addressed those rumors during a recent interview with MTV.

“We were never ever supposed to be on that stage together,” Kim said of a peaceful performance with her longtime adversary. “That was not true. She was coming out on an earlier song earlier in his set and I was coming out on a later song and that’s how it was. That’s just what it was.”

While Kim said this was never supposed to happen, Foxy Brown also spoke about the rumored performance during her own interview with MTV.

“It’s a touchy situation because I have a lot of respect for Fab,” Foxy said in an interview with MTV earlier this month. “My brother and Fab are like brothers and we’re all from Brooklyn. So, I don’t want to really go there, but let’s just say that it wasn’t orchestrated properly and when you have something of that magnitude, I understand. I have a brand. I’m an intelligent girl. I understand the epicness of those two huge—the biggest female rappers in the game, to change the game, come together and touch mics. It’s phenomenal. But somewhere along the way some part of that has to feel real. It has to be real.”

During that interview, Foxy also said that the two were not on good terms following jokes Lil’ Kim allegedly made about Brown’s hearing loss. This is why Foxy Brown said it would be hard to reconcile in the same way that Nas and Jay Z found peace after their own feud.

“[But] it’s not the same thing,” Foxy said. “Jay and Nas conversed prior to coming out onstage and they were able to dead their beef before. The last time [Kim] and I were even in the same vicinity, there was a shootout. The last comments I remember hearing her make about me — she laughed at the fact that I lost my hearing. So when people do things like that and they have malicious intent. That’s different that just a Rap battle.

“If it’s real and we can orchestrate a situation where it’s real, then I’m with it,” Foxy continued. “It’s not real, I’m not with it and it wasn’t real. When [Fab] spoke to her, she was defiant from the moment he even said my name. She said, ‘I don’t wanna perform with her.’ Typical.”

Lil’ Kim’s perspective on the matter can be seen below.
