Maybach Music Group artist Gunplay is the most recent guest on The Combat Jack Show. The Def Jam Records backed Gunplay recounted his September 2012 fight with 50 Cent and members of G-Unit outside the BET Hip-Hop Awards.

“You never get a chance to him,” explained the Triple C’s member, when asked why he approached the Hip Hop super-star, apparently hitting him. “So I just took the opportunity. I don’t care. I got a window, that’s all that matters.” The fight happened amidst a four-year feud between G-Unit and Rick Ross, DJ Khaled and various members of Maybach Music Group.

Combat Jack asked about the chain necklace thar Gunplay lost during the scuffle. “I’m fightin’. Nobody took nothin’ from me, eva. Not one nigga took nothin’ from me. I felt the mothafucka [fall]; I’m fightin’. [The chain] popped, fuckin’ fell on the floor. What do you want me to do?” Gunplay was responding to reports that he was robbed during the videotaped fight. The New York native added, “Nobody never took nothin’ from me, bro—with me knowin’.” Gunplay also stated that he sees his record of attempted robberies remaining undefeated. “It’s physically fuckin’ impossible! I lost that shit.”

Referring to subsequent video clips of 50 Cent and members of G-Unit wearing the chain, Gunplay deduced, “That nigga picked it up. He want to rap; why wouldn’t you?” “He ain’t sayin’ nothin’; I ain’t sayin’ nothin’.”

Gunplay’s solo debut, Living Legend, is planned for release later this year.
