This week’s most popular singles featured French Montana, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar and Daft Punk. Montana and The Weeknd linked up for “Gifted.” Lamar partnered with Mike Epps on the visuals for “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” and Daft Punk enlisted the help of Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers for “Lose Yourself to Dance.”

French Montana Teams Up With The Weeknd For “Gifted” 

The combination of French Montana and The Weeknd worked for many listeners who made this a popular cut for the week. Topping this week’s list, French and Weeknd combined for “Gifted,” a mellow track off of Montana’s upcoming debut album, Excuse My French.

Last year, Montana spoke about his collaboration with The Weeknd and also revealed other potential collabs.

“Shout out to Travis Barker, I’m working with him,” Montana said. “I’m working with The Weeknd, shout out to Kanye [West], shout out to the whole MMG, shout out to Bad Boy, shout out to the Coke Boys, shout out to Harry Fraud. Shout out to everybody who helped me on this album. I feel like it’s going to be something real special.”

Kendrick Lamar Reveals Visuals For “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” 

With so many unauthorized versions of his cut going around, Kendrick Lamar finally dropped the official visuals for “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe.” The video features Kendrick Lamar dressed in all white in both somber and joyous moods. The video, which also features comedian Mike Epps, can be viewed below.

Of course, two other versions of this song have been released by the Top Dawg Entertainment emcee. One version featured Lady Gaga on the hook and the other was the official remix featuring Jay-Z. Other emcees have also tried to rhyme on the instrumental for the cut, including Game

Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams & Nile Rodgers Collaborate On “Lose Yourself To Dance” 

The collaborative spirit on “Lose Yourself to Dance” was a positive one for fans of Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers. Together, they released one of this week’s most popular songs. 

Back in April, Pharrell spoke about the collaboration and explained how it all came together.

“The robots sort of reached out and they kept trying to figure out when we were gonna be in Paris,” said Pharrell. “And so finally I ended up in Paris. They were like ‘Well, what have you been working on?’ And I played them some of the stuff I had been working on and I was like ‘Yeah, I’m kinda like in this Nile Rodgers place right now.’ And they looked at each other and I was like ‘What? You guys don’t like [that]?’ And they were like ‘Okay, so this is what we want you to write to.’ So, they play it. Nile Rodgers is actually playing in the track.”
