It has been just over three months since Bronx, New York native emcee Tim Dog died. The 46-year-old born Timothy Blair passed away in Atlanta, Georgia on February 14, from what is believed to be a diabetic seizure. At the time of his death, the former Ruffhouse Records artist and longtime Ultramagnetic MC’s affiliate was the subject of a grand larceny investigation, which was later featured on “Dateline NBC.”

One of his alleged victims, Southhaven Mississippi’s Esther Pilgrim, is skeptical of his death. Pilgrim told CBS News’ Memphis, Tennessee affiliate WREG that Tim Dog was paying her $100 per month, after a judge ordered him to do so for what she calls “a swindled business deal.” Those payments were made from 2011 until the time of the “Fuck Compton” rapper’s death.

A skeptical Pilgrim says she investigated the death reports in February of this year to no avail. “They weren’t able to find any record of his death.” The news outlet’s own investigator was also unable to find documentation of Tim’s death. Pilgrim, who believes that Tim Dog owes various victims upwards of $2 million, has reportedly hired a private investigator.

While a New York City funeral was held for Tim Dog by his family days after his death, longtime collaborator Kool Keith expressed his own shock and disbelief upon hearing the tragic news.

UPDATE: In a bizarre turn of events, an arrest warrant has been issued for Tim Dog. Still believed to be deceased, WREG reports that Esther Pilgrim prompted authorities in Desoto County, Mississippi to issue an arrest warrant for the man born Timothy Blair.

Prosecutor Steven Jubera helped obtain the warrant. “I need proof,” said Jubera, seeking a death certificate.“I need a death certificate showing that’s he’s dead because as far as I’m concerned, he’s alive.” Jubera also told WREG,“Nobody said where he died, nobody said where he was buried, which is very odd for an obituary.”

Tim Dog’s family has yet to speak publicly on the allegations.
