New York City producer Blockhead spent much of the late ’00s releasing Instrumental albums through the Ninja Tune label. Earlier this year, the longtime Aesop Rock affiliate shared the bill with Columbus, Ohio emcee/poet Illogic for the duo’s first studio release, Capture The Sun.

Less than two months later, it appears that Block has another Hip Hop project up his sleeve. He and another New Yorker, Billy Woods will release Dour Candy this June. Woods is a member of Super Chron Flight Bros and leader of Backwoodz Studios. He released his own LP, History Will Absolve Me with Masai Bey last April.

Dour Candy is slated to feature Aesop Rock, Open Mike Eagle, Moka Only and Elucid.
