Joe Budden appeared on MTV’s Rap Fix Live yesterday. In addition to discussing his recent solo effort, No Love Lost and his season spent on Vh1’s Love & Hip Hop, the Jersey City, New Jersey emcee revealed that his group, Slaughterhouse is quickly following up their 2012 album, welcome to: our HOUSE.

“We’re locking in this month. It’s time,” said Budden of the collective that also includes Joell Ortiz, Crooked I and Royce Da 5’9. The group was signed to Shady/Interscope Records after a self-titled 2009 debut on eOne Entertainment. The last album reportedly took two years to create, as Budden said earlier in his interview with Sway Calloway and the Rap Fix team.

welcome to: our HOUSE was a #2 debut, selling over 50,000 albums in its first week at retail. With the exception of Royce’s contribution to Hell: The Sequel by Bad Meets Evil, that was the highest charting position on any album from any of the four members.
