This week, Hip Hop fans reacted harshly to a line spit by Rick Ross on Rocko’s  “U.O.E.N.O. (You Ain’t even Know It)”alluding to rape. The line lead to a petition from fans, a radio station ban, and an attempted clarification by Ross. Lil Wayne appears as though he will impact the charts this week with the release of his I Am Not a Human Being II, which looks to land a top-five debut. Finally, Gucci Mane and Wacka Flocka continued to clash this week.

Rick Ross Spits Questionable Line, Fans & Radio React & Ross Clarifies

Rick Ross caught major heat for his lyric on Rocko’s “U.O.E.N.O. (You Ain’t even Know It),” where he raps, “Put molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it / I took her home and enjoy that, she ain’t even know it.” As a result of the rhyme, a petition was created on Change.org calling for an apology from Ross. The bad PR continued when Michigan’s WUVS 103.7 announced that it would be banning Ross (as well as Lil Wayne) for their recent controversial lyrics until they apologized for them. Ross attempted an apology on Friday (March 29th) by going onto Q 93.3, calling the situation a “misunderstanding.

“I want to make sure this is clear,” said Rozay. “Woman is the most precious gift known to man, you understand? It was a misunderstanding with a lyric, a misinterpretation where the term rape wasn’t used. I would never use the word rape in my records.”

Lil Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being II To Debut At #2

Lil Wayne’s I Am Not a Human Being II looks as though it will be the top Rap release in its first week out at #2. The album is projected to sell over 200,000 copies, while coming in second to Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience. “Clocking in at almost 20 songs (including all bonus cuts),I Am Not a Human Being IIis excessively long, leaving room for missteps that pull the album in multiple directions,” said HipHopDX in its review of the album. “Tunechi shines the brightest when he diverts from that formula, talking threats on ‘Beat The Shit’ withGunplaywho sort of steals the show with his gruff delivery or the simple Trap Rap found on ‘Gunwalk’ with Gudda Gudda.”
