Before releasing their third album in 1999, Cee-Lo and his fellow Goodie Mob members agreed that if “World Party” didn’t meet their expectations of success that Cee Lo would do a solo album. Three years later “Cee-Lo Green & His Perfect Imperfections” dropped to critical acclaim. Still not seeing eye to eye on the direction of the group combined with a tragic car accident involving Khujo, Goodie Mob seemed to disband shortly thereafter.

Since that time the rest of Goodie has come together again, but Cee-Lo has remained on his solo path. Next week on March 2 Cee-Lo’s sophomore opus will drop on Arista Records. “Cee-Lo Green…Is The Soul Machine” features production from Timbaland, The Neptunes, and Jazze Pha and guest spots from Ludacris, Timbaland, Pharrell, T.I., Big Rube and Jazze Pha.
