Earlier in the week, Hov became first to sign an exclusive publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music. As part of the publishing deal, Warner/Chappell Music will administer the rights to all recordings from both Jay-Z and Roc Nation.

“The real meaning of success is being in the position to work with an individual you consider a friend,” said Jay-Z. “Jon Platt is such a person. He’s a man of extraordinary character as well as a remarkably talented executive with an ear for music and an eye for talent. It’s great to watch him grow to be one the best in the business.”

Yesterday, Beyonce announced her signing a global administration deal with Warner/Chappell Publishing, which will administer her future songwriting including her upcoming fifth studio album.
