Drake To Release First Single From New Album On Grammy Awards Night

Drake gears up for the release of his new single, which has two rumored titles.

Drake is prepping the release of his new single, slated to impact on the night of the Grammy Awards (February 10th).

According to Billboard, the Young Money rapper has titled the track either "The Start From the Bottom" or "Started From the Bottom." The single will be the first from Drizzy's untitled third album, reportedly releasing this year. Pictures of Drake on the set of a video shoot surfaced earlier this month, possibly for the track.

Speaking on Grammy night, Cash Money Records co-CEO Bryan "Birdman" Williams previously said, "This year we got something in store. We got a new record coming out this year. It's just one of those nights that, after seeing each other together, that'll be like the highlight of our night, the highlight of our life, the highlight of our year."

Drake previously released his sophomore album Take Care in November 2011. The project has sold 1.9 million copies to date and spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Em's droppin an album this year, look like another album for aubrey w/ out RAOY grammy.

    • Anonymous

^^^ Bullshit. Recovery got better reviews than Take Care. There are Em fans who liked the album, despite what your close-minded ass say. FYI, every album he released after TES except for Relapse received mostly good reviews. Stop being a Drake stan/Eminem hater.

    • the truth

relapse sucked, em said so himself, take care got better reviews than recovery, every em fan i know hated recovery, so what are you basing this bullshit on. stop dickriding and be objective. after eminem show em's last 3 albums have been commercially successful but critically mediocre so which statistics are you referring to? what does em even have to do with this story? youre sounding like a stan

    • REAL TALK

LMFAO that's cold dude! But on some real shit i. STILL MAD that this nigga Drake said he killed the game last year when Em drop his shit and got like 700K in the first week. Jews man smh

If you're expecting a hip-hop track, you're looking at the wrong nigga. If you expect some R&B shit, then Drake's your guy.

  • trooth

drake gonna shit on his millions of haters!!! let the hate begin... just know deep down in your heart your a sucka!!!

  • dentaldamboy

This song is going to be a classic. Huge multi-platinum single. Birdman played it for all of the corporate employees down here at Cash Money headquarters. It was str8 fire! This is going to be bigger than any single Jay-Z or Nas have ever put out. After this single, everyone will agree that Drake is the GOAT. He will top the Forbes money list next year for sure. Birdman and Wayne will be 2 and 3. Good for Drake!!! It couldn't happen to a nicer and more real dude. I'm so proud of him!

  • Big Ghost

Great. More audio estrogen injected into hip-hop thanks to the human Baby Johnson. Just when hip-hop isn't bitch-made enough, Aubrey's corny ass comes skipping out of his meadow of dicks and spews more fabric softener music.

    • Big Ghost

^^^^^ Hey, pussy boy. You gonna reply to me with that weak ass line which is irrelevant to why niggas don't like that candy ass Jew? Niggas act like the only way to get pussy is to play an Aubrey song when there's tons of R&B singers (who can actually sing unlike Aubrey's off-key ass) out there who make better music to make love to. Stop sucking up to that Jewish fairy, grow a pair of testicles, and be an individual, not a sheep. FOH

Big Ghost- "Know that I don't make music for n***** who don't get pussy so those are the ones I count on to diss me or overlook me"

Aubrey's corny ass comes skipping out of his meadow of dicks and spews more fabric softener music. ^ loL good attempt trying to be Big Ghosface

    • Troll

You wont slap him tough guy

    • Big Ghost

@ Anonymous Hey, fuckboy. Stop being sensitive like Aubrey. Imma say whatever I wanna say. So shut up or I'll slap you into another continent.

    • Anonymous

lol why does one guys music bother you so much. who has a gun to your head forcing you to listen to drake. all your torment is self inflicted. and that was alot of dick references. sounds like you are struggling with something.

  • Anonymous

Drake always drops a solid album - doesn;t have to be a fully hip-hop album, but it's always solid. Looking forward to hearing the song and album.

In the words of Big Ghost, prolly sounds like kittens doing ballet in slow motion.

    fucking hate this bitch

"the Young Money rapper has titled the track either "The Start From the Bottom" or "Started From the Bottom." I love the irony of those titles because Drake was rich before he started rapping, so he never came from or started from the bottom. Just proof of how far up his ass his head is ever since he became famous.

  • Lilworm

eminem gonna shut down drake this year!

I'm supporting grey's comment, not Drake or Eminem. The fact is, Eminem has nothing to do with this article. Eminem's sales have nothing to do with this article. What has transpired here is like for example, the Laker coach stating his starting five for the next game at a press conference, and an OKC Thunder fan at this very press conference saying the Thunder have a better record than the Lakers. Totally irrelevant to the situation because the Lakers aren't playing against the Thunder for this game, but said fan only wanted to express their OKC Thunder fandom. Why be at a Laker press conference to say this? But some of you are too deep in your emotions that this logic escapes you.

"what does Eminem have to do with a new Drake single article?" Tell that to the OP. "you look like the stan defending Eminem on a Drake article" This coming from someone defending Drake. Don't talk about stanning when you do the same.

    • What's wrong with you people?

"What the fuck does Wayne even have to do with this?" ^ what does Eminem have to do with a new Drake single article? "Recovery got good reviews despite what you haters say while stuck in your bubble, better than Drake's overrated ass album" "Wayne and them sell a lot of records because they make disposable crap music." ^ the reviews are good for Em, Drake's were "overrated", and he already predicted you would that about sales: "you are the same idiots who will downplay the importance of sales when lil wayne goes platinum in the first week. yet here you are dickriding eminem's pockets" ^ anyway, the reality is you look like the stan defending Eminem on a Drake article. You've even included every single rapper out there to claim this fact, on a DRAKE article. Think about it.

    • Anonymous

^^^^ I didn't even bring up Eminem. The OP did. I'm just responding to idiots like you who refute facts. Nothing that dude said was true. Recovery got good reviews despite what you haters say while stuck in your bubble, better than Drake's overrated ass album. What the fuck does Wayne even have to do with this? Wayne and them sell a lot of records because they make disposable crap music. If somebody's the stan, it's you. No matter what you say, Eminem will outsell every rapper that's out there, fact.

    • Anonymous

ive noticed that anytime somebody disagrees with you you try to discredit their opinion by calling them a groupie. yet everything dude said was true. critically recovery was not em's best, and drake's album got way better reviews. i dont know one em fan that liked recovery. yet now yall stand behind it because it sold alot and youre worried about drake and wayne. its not even about the music anymore, just your spite. what does em even have to do with drake releasing a single? Bringing em up in the first place was some stan shit. no one can shine but your favs huh smh. and its true that stans only seem to care about sales when it favors their favorite artists, but the second wayne goes platinum sales dont mean shit anymore.

    • @gray

His point was that everytime Eminem drops an album, he has the most sales. That's a fact, not dickriding, you dumbass. His last album Recovery (which mostly got good reviews despite your personal opinions) outsold every rap album in the '10s. Fuckboys always trying to dispute facts.

    • ^

Wow. You are a bitchmade Drake groupie. Everything the nigga stated was fact. You just came in with your butthurt feelings of bullshit.

    • grey

what point does he have. and no one has a chance at what? you idiots act like one artist's success spells doom for everyone else. so now its all about sales? you are the same idiots who will downplay the importance of sales when lil wayne goes platinum in the first week. yet here you are dickriding eminem's pockets, even though drake's last album was critically way more successful than em's last album, which got relatively bad reviews. Is it about the music or the sales? Cause if its about the music then eminem is no threat to drake, ross, wayne, or any of the main acts right now.No one is going to stop listening to these guys just because eminem released a new song. lol. sorry to burst your bubble but if you really think the world is going to flip upside down and these guys are going to magically disappear just because of eminem the you are delusional. It didnt happen with recovery, relapse, eminem show, or any other album. Hip hop is big a very big market. Get out from your bubbles. why not just support the artists you like instead of dickriding them and trying to another artist's expense? Grow up faggots.

    • Anonymous

em last album was sloppy and overrated foh!

    • Anonymous

^dude has a point drake is nice but if that rumored em album does in fact drop this year then nobody else has a chance..

    • Anonymous

Nope. It's based on the fact that Eminem is releasing another album this year. When it comes to sales, Eminem stomps the competition. No dickriding, just facts.

    • Anonymous

based on what? anything concrete besides your groupie emotions?
