LL Cool J has opened up about being abused as a child, speaking with Oprah for “Oprah’s Next Chapter.” During the interview, he explained how his mother’s friend used to beat him as a youth, kicking him out into the snow without clothes on and hitting him with household objects.
“A friend of my mother’s. it wasn’t sexual it was just beating, take all your clothes off. Kicked out in the snow, ‘Stay outside,'” he recalled. “Just beaten with vacuum cleaner pipes. Just stripped naked, put your hands on the bunkbed. When you fall down, stand back up.”
The veteran rapper is currently prepping the release of his thirteenth studio album Authentic Hip-Hop, which he announced last November. It is currently unclear if that release date still stands.
