Kid CuDi Lands Role In "Need For Speed" Movie

Kid CuDi joins the cast of the movie based on the popular video game series.

Though Kid CuDi may be experiencing some label woes, his other career avenues appear to be bright. reports that Cudder has joined the cast of DreamWorks' Need For Speed, a film adaptation of the popular Electronic Arts video game series.

The movie, set for a February 7, 2014 release, will also feature "Breaking Bad's" Aaron Paul.

DreamWorks has said that it will be aiming for the tone of 1970s car-culture films. The movie will center around Paul playing a street racer who joins a New York-to-Los Angeles race to get revenge for being framed for the death of a friend.

Cudi will play a member of Paul's crew. The film will be produced by Dominic Cooper and Imogen Poots, and directed by Scott Waugh (Act of Valor).
