This will be the last weekly Top Singles for 2012, and what a week it has been. Next week, you’ll see our tally of the Top Singles of 2012, and that list has a few surprises for you. Be sure to check it out. This week, though, our winner is A$AP Rocky, and it should be noted that his single “1 Train” did almost three times as a well as the #2 track. That means quite a few people checked it out. There’s more to this list though, so on with the show.

A$AP Rocky Is All About the Posse Cut

For the internet pirates out there, it’s no surprise that A$AP Rocky’sLongLiveA$AP leaked. As A$AP Rocky’s manager A$AP Yams tweeted, “If you like it, buy it.” On the album is the super duper posse cut titled “1 Train.” We’ve heard there was going to be a massive cut happening on A$AP’s debut, but who knew it would be a 7-emcee party? Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, and Big K.R.I.T. all showed up to spit some thorough bars. That made it to #1. A$AP brought another stellar posse cut in at #8 with “Purple Swag Remix” featuring the likes of Bun B, Paul Wall, and Killa Kyleon.

Kendrick Lamar Accidentally Had a Big Week

Sure, Kendrick Lamar was a part of the #1 track this week, but he also showed up a few more times. Kendrick made it to the #2 track off T.I.’s Trouble Man titled “Memories Back Then,” with B.o.B. and Kris Stephens. He then popped up on Dido’s “Let Us Move On” which made it to the #4 spot. So, Kendrick was a Top Singles favorite this week without actually having to release a song. The aforementioned T.I. had a good week too. In addition to the #2 slot, Tip had “Addresses” at #5 and the return of “Sorry” with Andre 3000 in this week at #9.
